Sassy, born Vonn Jones and originally from Chicago, Illinois, was raised in a Christian household where gospel music filled the home in abundance. It was there that her love for music first began. Watching her mother sing in the church choir, listening to her father play the piano, and witnessing her uncles and aunts travel and perform in quartet groups and choirs, Sassy was destined to make music a part of her life.

By the age of six, she was already singing with conviction. Her first solo performance at just eight years old revealed the powerful presence she would become. In a packed room filled with visiting churches from across the city, Sassy captivated the audience with a voice so moving it ended in a standing ovation of praise.

Coming from a large family deeply rooted in music — including uncles, aunts, cousins, and siblings — it is no surprise that she carried on the family tradition.

From an early age, Sassy displayed a natural gift for singing, with a voice so soothing and soulful that it could calm the spirit.

By the age of twelve, Sassy was recording songs alongside her brother. Talent shows and church events throughout the Bay Area warmly embraced the young singer and her growing artistry.

Sassy later joined her family in ministry at The Love Center in Fairfield, California, where they formed a choir that hosted and performed at conferences, church gatherings, and community events.

Supported and inspired by her aunt and uncle — founders of The Love Center — Sassy developed the soulful, jazzy blues sound that would eventually define her artistry.

Today, Sassy is a single mother of four based in Las Vegas, where she continues to pursue her passion for music as both a singer and songwriter.

Her residency at Quincey’s Cigar Lodge showcased her exceptional talent, and she remains an active performer throughout the Las Vegas Valley, earning acclaim for her original productions and unforgettable live performances.

Sassy’s creativity, authenticity, and unwavering dedication to her craft continue to shape a future in music that is undeniably bright.
